             abstract = "Remote sensing is increasingly being used for environmental 
                         studies and planning in urbanized areas on a large and small 
                         scale. Among the most varied sensors and their various 
                         applications, stand out the active that generate the image of 
                         Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). With the advancement of 
                         urbanization and mandatory solutions for new structures, 
                         interferometric studies and SAR images has been developing in this 
                         area. This paper aims to elucidate and list the possibilities of 
                         applying the InSAR techniques as well as its inputs in the massive 
                         monitoring of the growing road transport network in Brazil, aiming 
                         to create future perspectives for assistance in the planning and 
                         preventive maintenance of road structures. Although the use of 
                         such techniques in the country is still very superficial, in parts 
                         for lack of commitment and favorable monetary conditions, SAR 
                         interferometry demonstrates fundamental application in the 
                         planning of public works, whether in transportation, urban areas 
                         or civil defense, monitoring areas with high fragility and 
                         assisting in planning.",
